Our projects

Art and culture as tools to build relationships, encourage participation and contribute to community well-being. A wide range of activities bringing together local communities, artists, businesses, institutions and associations, developing initiatives rooted in the places and the people who live there.

Local cultural projects

RICÒ - Performing arts in San Quirino

A multidisciplinary programme created to make the Livio Poldini Centre in San Quirino a vibrant cultural space serving the local community. Performances, artistic residencies, workshops, concerts, exhibitions, talks and training activities create opportunities for culture and participation throughout the year.

Education, research & play

Labs and workshops

Playful activities for all ages, ongoing courses for different skill levels and intensive workshops for professionals. Circus techniques and performing arts are used as tools for training, well-being, social interaction and artistic development, also in collaboration with schools, sports organisations and cultural associations.

Social inclusion

Filò – Conversations about the twentieth century with the elderly of Friuli Venezia Giulia

A video documentary created in care homes to tell the story of the 20th century through the memories of older generations. Not a history lesson, but an intimate and playful account inspired by the traditional filò: evening gatherings in which people came together in the warmth of the stables to work, play and talk.

Tradition meets contemporary art

L'Arlêf – Weaving a future

A travelling exhibition bringing the textile heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia into dialogue with contemporary artistic research. Artworks, textile pieces, videos, workshops and encounters explore the techniques, businesses and traditions of the region through new languages and contemporary interpretations.

Connecting culture and manufacturing

TANG

A research project dedicated to the art of knife throwing, bringing together contemporary circus, craftsmanship and industry. Inspired by Maniago’s centuries-old knife-making tradition, the project will lead to the creation of both a throwing knife and a performance, starting from a physical object and transforming it into a vehicle for culture.

Cultural dissemination and public education

The Circus Circle

A travelling library dedicated to the history of circus, developed in collaboration with DOCC – Documentation on Contemporary Circus. Books, archive materials, exhibitions, talks and interviews invite audiences to discover the history and evolution of the circus arts.

Supporting emerging artists

CirkAround

An international project created by Circuito CLAPS to support the professional development of emerging contemporary circus artists. It offers workshops with industry professionals, networking opportunities and the chance to take part in some of Europe’s leading contemporary circus festivals.
